the power of back2school

What makes this a powerful event is not the resources and the process that work so well.  What makes it a success is the people.  The people we serve who say they are so grateful.  The people who serve in the several hundreds, I am guessing more than 700 volunteers, that work before, during and after to see that students are served and all the things needed done are complete.

1 Peter 4:10  NLT
God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

One of my favorite things to do on the big back2school day is to visit as many of the locations as I can.  From site to site and driving almost 200 miles in a short time the people of each church serving overwhelmed me.  Jesus birthed the church to impact the world.  This event impacts the communities and the world around us.

Way to go church!  God smiled on you and about you.  Lives were touched.  Many will be changed forever.  I am believing for changes for generations to come because of the days we served this past week.  Will you agree in prayer with me?  Pray for as much impact as possible.

I am still in the overflow of the weekend.  There are more statistics coming in.  In fact there are more students to be served here locally as well as in a town in West Virginia.  There might be even more.

1 Corinthians 16:18  NLT
They have been a wonderful encouragement to me, as they have been to you. You must show your appreciation to all who serve so well.

What is next?  More serving is ahead.  What is next?  I am going to spend much time thinking through the process, but the most of the time is going to be spent with God hearing His heart, enjoying His presence and learning to lean on Him as become more like Him.

PRAY for students and teachers who return to school in our community this week.

I was reading an article from a pastor that was sharing his heart for his church family and impacting his community one person at a time...
