I’ve heard people talk about faith like it is a myth and illogical. I’ve also listened to stories of people talking about faith as they have experienced miracles and God has strengthened their lives time and time again.
Our faith has substance as we apply the things God teaches us in the Bible. Do we really believe what the Bible has to say about faith? If we believe and apply this truth, things will be different in our lives. Faith is what separates believers from non-believers, separates the weak from the strong, and separates those whose lives will count long after they are gone and those whose lives end when they are in the grave. Faith takes us further than we will ever know.
Honestly, do we believe what God says?
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
For we live by believing and not by seeing.
For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.
For the Scriptures tell us, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”
Faith is not a myth or even a mystery, but faith is supernatural. Faith is not something we gain on our own, but faith is something God provides by His awesome, unending grace. We will find that our faith has substance as we believe the things that God says and apply those things to our lives.
My prayer is that we will allow God to increase our faith as we chose to live the adventure, take the risk and follow God with reckless abandon. Join me. Our faith has substance!
