Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind
and a thankful heart.
It still holds my attention and something I am
passionate about. When someone asks you
to pray, stop at that moment and pray.
When you see or know a need, stop right then and pray. When someone comes to your mind and you feel
a tug on your heart to pray for that person, don’t wait but pray now.
Confess your sins to each other and pray for
each other so that you may be
healed. The earnest prayer of a
righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
This is nothing new.
This is actually the thing that Jesus kept on teaching His
followers. To stop and pray often was
vitally important to their lives, the ministry and to their connection to the
father. Prayer does make a difference.
Prayer often changes the one who is praying. We could be praying that someone else changes
or moves out of our way only to find out that God does what He does best by
changing us to be more like Jesus.
So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give
you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.
But you, dear friends, must build each other up in
your most holy faith, pray in
the power of the Holy Spirit,
Welcome to a new week. Welcome to a new opportunity to pray.
My prayer, for you and me in this new week, is that
we will be people of prayer who are ready to be shocked by the answers to
prayer and to enjoy our time with the Father.
It is a big deal.
#STOPandPRAY much today!
