Hello Community family and friends
Life continues to be sweet and busy around The Community Fellowship and Dream Center. That is why each of us have to step up to do our part as we serve others.
During the summer time it is easy to get caught up in many things, and your church leaders want to remind you to stay faithful. Be faithful in attending. Be faithful in being at church. And be faithful in your giving.
Tomorrow is a big day. Saturday, July 14th is our 2nd Saturday FREE community meal and clothes closet as well as REGISTRATION FOR back2school. That is why we are asking volunteers to arrive at 830. Please come help until noon.
Actually churches across the nation have come together for "Serve Day 2018" and are serving in many ways. We are serving with our monthly outreach day AND the beginning of back2school. Many of our people continue to help with meals on Saturday evening uptown as well as those who are helping the fire victims that are staying at the Dutch Inn. Don't forget our addiction ministry that takes place each Saturday evening at 6pm.
Our back2school outreach will continue through the big event day in August. Next Friday, Saturday and Sunday is the "pack the bus" event for us at Walmart. We are tasked with working on Friday and have other churches taking care of Saturday and Sunday. Please be ready to sign up this Sunday for a time to work.
There's more, but that is enough for now. It is exciting to know that at 12 locations there will be work just like there is at The Community. Please continue to pray through and prepare for a great season of serving. I look forward to seeing you all Saturday as we serve and Sunday as we worship.
Remember that God called us to demonstrate the love of God to our community and beyond through acts of random kindness with no strings attached. God is good!
