When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight. As he went to take a closer look, the voice of the Lord called out to him,
Yesterday I shared with you a devotion from mark Batterson and his book Whisper. I continue to be intrigued by the voice of God and how God speaks in so many ways to us, His children that He loves so much. He speaks in many different ways.
God speaks because He knows what is best for us. No, He is not making us puppets that have to do whatever He says. He has given us choices. His desire is to direct in places and situations and in to the lives of people that make us stronger and richer and that we can serve by using the gifts God has given us.
God wants to speak. Have you ever been in a place that is so loud that you have to strain to understand what you are hearing? I have been there many times.
In opposition to that is when the voice or noise is so low you can hardly hear it that you have to lean in and turn all the other noise off. Ever been there? I have.
Which time did you hear more? It was in the time of the whisper or the lower noise.
Use your inside voice. Life is fast. There is so much going on. We will miss the voice of God, the heart of God and even the best of God if we don’t take time to listen.
Recognizing the voice of God might be hard. But listen. He is speaking. I want to hear His voice and enjoy His presence.
May we be list Moses and come closer. May we watch and listen and respond to what God is saying.

Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. 2 And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. 3 The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. Pray for Briggs Favero as he has more treatment starting today. Pray for the family and friends of PHCC’s basketball coach Kenny Wade who passed away this week in an auto accident. Continue to pray for Marcie Seay and her family as her husband passed away (funeral Sunday at Moral Hill Church at 3) and Cindy Hall’s family (funeral is Saturday at 11am at Wright funeral home). I continue also praying for Steven Spangler, John Winingham, Tick Osborn, Peggy Ziglar, Ginny Foster, Larry Wood, Meredith Spencer, Elizabeth, and Mike Pennington.
