But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit,
There is not reason or even direction for the devastation of Hurricane Dorian over the last few days and for the coming hours and days. We need to pray. There is little else we can do more effectively than pray.
We can help with serving. There are people around our community gathering items to help, and there will be a call for volunteers at some point. Do what you can, but continue to pray.
Our prayer life builds us and builds others. So, keep on building.
Matthew 9:38 NLT
So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.
Ask God to protect those in the path of the storm or those who have already been touched by this horrible storm. Pray that God will send people to serve and make a huge difference in all places, from the Bahamas to the southeastern states of our country. There will be all kinds of needs. Thousands of volunteers and workers will be needed.
Pray that God provides and share the needs you learn about.

The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and the raging waves. Suddenly the storm stopped and all was calm.
Maybe you are in the storm. Remember who is the one who calms the storm or who calms His child during the storm. God is close and He loves and He knows.
Pray. That is our biggest call at this point.
