There is more to the Christian life than going to church or being a good person. Realize that our salvation is totally based on what Jesus did for us. We cannot work our way in to heaven or do anything good enough to qualify for salvation.
Jesus is the one given for our salvation. It was his sacrifice and the love of God that continues to do what only God can do. Take that in. Remember it. Share it with others often.
Here is a simply reminder. Read on.
John 3:14-17 NLT
And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life. 16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
We have heard those for a long time, if we have been in church. Might have even seen some of those verses on billboards or little cards being handed out somewhere. You might have seen John 3:16 painted on a guys chest at some football game where it was freezing.
Point is… the Gospel is still the truth and how people receive salvation and promise of eternity with God.
This is worth sharing those who need because we sure are blessed to be saved by God’s grace!
Galatians 2:8-9 NLT
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
I need those reminders. Let’s tell others!
