The 2020 #back2school outreach is almost complete. There are two locations serving this coming weekend and another the following week. Last weekend was incredible.
Whatever it takes. Yes that phrase says a lot about this year’s event because we realize once again we must do whatever it takes to get it done, to serve students and to share the hope that comes from Jesus!
With all the restrictions, chaos, questions and even schools not returning in person, we still were able to serve almost 1,500 students and their families. What a blessing this year, as all the other years, this have been.
This is our 14th year to serve students, and this year put us over the mark of serving more than 25,000 students. Furthermore, there are 17 locations all doing the same outreach. Even new locations joined in to make a difference in the lives of students, and God receives all the glory.
Most events were drive through where students still received backpacks with school supplies as well as new shoes with socks. All heard the message of hope that comes from Christ, and our awesome volunteers prayed over everyone that was served.
I am grateful for the partnerships. I am grateful for those who worked hard to make it happen. I am grateful for the passion God has placed in our hearts to keep on.

But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”
At first it looked like this year was going to be a wash with no ministry happening, but that was not the case. God told us to go forward, to serve as normal, and the increase and the blessing all is attached to God.
Keep on praying. Praying for the locations that continue to serve. Pray for all the students and their families. Ask God to prepare us for even more. It truly is all for His glory.
