When people come to your mind that you are grateful for, tell them. When people come to your mind that you feel like you should pray for, stop and pray for them and tell them. When there seems to be a word or encouragement for somebody in particular, tell them.
Too often, we push these things aside as we’re going through our busy days. But what would it be like if somebody texted you, called you, sent you an email or simply spoke to you with one of these things? I think it would make a difference in your life, and that is because it makes a difference in mine.
So today as you go throughout your day, tell them. Don’t stop and wait till later. You might forget. Tell them now.
It might be a simple text or a long phone call. It might be time to get on your knees and pray. It might even be time to take a road trip because somebody needs to be told that they have value, that you forgive them, or you might need to ask for their forgiveness. But tell them.
Jesus was one of those who exemplified this kind of life for us. He constantly went about his days. With the mindset of… Tell them. Tell them.
He told them that he loved them. He told him that their sin was taking them and directions that they shouldn’t go. He told them about God, who was his father, his provider, his Director, and the author of it all. Jesus told them the truth. He didn’t sidestep things.
Tell them. What is it that you need to tell them today?
1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
