Dear
friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone
who loves is a child of God and knows God.
Yesterday was a horrible day for our nation as there were
more lives lost in a single act of hatred than in any before. Reports say that 50 people died and 50 more
were injured when one gunman entered a nightclub in Orlando and began to do the
unthinkable.
This was a nightclub where people of people of the LGBT community
gathered. My heart goes out to everyone
who has experienced such a difficult and painful event. Please join me in prayer for those impacted
by the deaths and injuries inflicted by this one man.
One of the things that I want to make clear is that was
an act of hatred and of terror. This is
wrong in every way possible. If you
disagree with someone, the wrong response is to inflict pain. This breaks my heart, and it should break the
heart of every human.
God loves people.
God loves us even when He doesn’t agree with us. Please understand that it is time for Christians
to share what is on our hearts at the same time showing people what the love of
God is all about. We don’t have to
accept them things people do, but we have to love people.
Jesus died for every person although not every person
will accept Him. My prayer is that we
will do all we can to share God’s love with more people. Comfort those who are hurting. Pray for those in need. Speak up for those cannot speak for
themselves.
Love others.
Denounce wrong. What happened in
Orlando is 100% wrong. It also reminds
us that we live in a fallen world.
Our response is to love people, comfort the hurting and
to live lives that exemplify the truth God gives us. God loves people. Share that today every chance you get!
