Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard
in the light, and what you have
whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to
hear!
One of the things that I believe is
that God is involved in all of our lives.
Whether we know it or want it, He loves us and is working around
us. That is one reason why thinking that
we hide things from God is just not possible.
Take that a step farther and know that always
what is done in secret and for the wrong reason will always come to be
known. Year ago I heard it said it said,
“what ever we seek to cover, God will uncover, and whatever we uncover, God
will cover.” That quote directly relates
to sin.
The scripture confirms this in many
places as well. While reading my
devotion early this week I came across this verse:
Job
12:22 NLT
He uncovers mysteries hidden in
darkness; he brings light to the deepest gloom.
Another great confirmation of the
truth I talked about. Move in another
direction and realize that our God will always bring us out of the dark when we
seek Him. It is not an instant answer or
a quick fix for depression and pain. But
God promises us His light.
I shared this with some friends,
and my friend Jerry Byrd sent me this:
We
could look at is as film, it holds pictures of our sin and it can be developed
and exposed in darkness but if the film is exposed to light it becomes blank.
That is powerful truth. May we understand and even seek the light of
God each and every day. He will make our
darkness light. He will shine the light
in the areas where we are stuck or hurt or struggling.
