As my family is on vacation I continue to take a look back at e-devotions from the past. I will turn back time and will pass on to you some that still speak to me. Read and share with others. Pray for the continued impact of God’s truth and these e-devotion on many lives.
Thank you for allowing me to take some time off and still share with you these e-devotions as we turn back in time…
Much of this e-devotion was first shared in November of 2012:
Zig Ziglar has inspired millions of people through his leadership and motivation. He has written numerous book, given thousands of seminars, spoken at more than you can count events and made an impact over the last 6 decades on leaders in business and the church as well as home.
His son Tom Ziglar has been a mentor of mine of a couple years. The passion that these men have for helping others is incredible. I’d like to share some of Zig’s zingers, I mean quotes with you today…
“Success means doing the best we can with what we have. Success is the doing, not the getting; in the trying, not the triumph. Success is a personal standard, reaching for the highest that is in us, becoming all that we can be.”
“You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.”
“You cannot climb the ladder of success dressed in the costume of failure.”
“People who have good relationships at home are more effective in the marketplace.”
“The way you see people is the way you treat them.”
“Many marriages would be better if the husband and the wife clearly understood that they are on the same side.”
“You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great”
“If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.”
“The more you are grateful for what you have the more you will have to be grateful for”
“The most important persuasion tool you have in your entire arsenal is integrity.”
“When you put faith, hope and love together, you can raise positive kids in a negative world.”
“Confidence is going after Moby Dick in a rowboat and taking the tartar sauce with you.”
“People do not wander around and then find themselves at the top of Mount Everest.”
“Most people who fail in their dream fail not from lack of ability but from lack of commitment.”
“Encouragement is the fuel on which hope runs.”
“Success occurs when opportunity meets preparation”
“Don't be distracted by criticism. Remember ~ the only taste of success some people have is when they take a bite out of you.”
“You can succeed at almost anything for which you have unbridled enthusiasm.”
I pray that God will raise up people to inspire you. Read great books. Listen to people who have been there and experienced life. Learn from what you hear and take it to heart. Allow God and His word to filter it all. God wants you to succeed, and He has prepared you for success. Press on!
