This week I am sharing several of my favorite scriptures that have become very important to me. Many of these have become a “measuring stick” to help guide my decisions and keep me close to God.
Will we choose to follow what God says and where He leads? That is a question that each of us has to answer.
I have shared that Proverbs has been an important part of my walk with God for about 30 years. That is why today is a little deeper, or shares more verses than others.
Read these and take it all in. Study and meditate on it. Ask yourself: what is God is saying to me in these verses?
Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Some great verses that many of us know and maybe even quote, but it doesn’t stop there.
More from Proverbs 3…
1 - My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart.
9 - Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.
18 - Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly.
25-26 - You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, 26 for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.
And there is much more in this chapter and in all the chapters of Proverbs. But just simply start reading it. One chapter per day based on what day of the month it is.
May we take positive steps this week based on the verses that have been so strong for me and my faith journey. Have a great week!
