With the start of the new school year and the competition of the back2school outreach, join me in praying for students and educators. Pray for college students, school aged students and all those who teach or serve or share in schools. Dwane Massenburg is a friend and local pastor, and this is a prayer guide he shared. PRAY FOR OUR CHILDREN
To have alert, inquisitive minds towards the subject, and long attention spans
To come to school with a good attitude and respect for adults
For the ability to resist peer pressure
To respect each other as people so they can attend classes without bullying
PRAY WITH OUR CHILDREN
Lord, we pray that every parent would grab their child by the hand and get on their knees so their child will perceive the importance of prayer
That they would understand who You are, dear God, so they can seek Your face this year while they are learning
For safety around each school and each child
PRAY FOR OUR TEACHERS
Lord, give them wisdom and creativity to teach the subject and make it clear
Bless them with patience
Courage to discipline well
Love for the children and the task of teaching
We are asking, Lord. We are praying that by the end of this school year, all of our students will successfully transition to the next level. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
