Thoughts and prayers of peace are all over my heart and
mind the last few days. Therefore, I
want to share with you some of the things that have been given to me and some
that I am holding tight to.
HYMN: It Is
Well with My Soul
When peace, like a
river, attendeth my way,
when sorrows like
sea billows roll;
whatever my lot,
thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is
well with my soul.
It is well with my soul,
it is well, it is well with my soul.
Though Satan should
buffet, though trials should come,
let this blest
assurance control,
that Christ has
regarded my helpless estate,
and hath shed his
own blood for my soul.
And, Lord, haste the
day when my faith shall be sight,
the clouds be rolled
back as a scroll;
the trump shall
resound, and the Lord shall descend,
even so, it is well
with my soul.
It is well with my soul,
it is well, it is well with my soul.
“I am
leaving you with a gift—peace of
mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the
world cannot give. So don’t be
troubled or afraid.
Don’t worry
about anything; instead, pray
about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which
exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds
as you live in Christ Jesus.
That is the kind of
peace that trusting God brings. When the
storms are big or the troubles seem too high to get over, remember who is in
charge, where our strength comes from and how we will get through. His peace is ours for the taking!
