It is time to focus on some things that aren’t along the normal
path. It might be a truth that doesn’t
get talked about much. Yet this will
help all of us deal with some of the judgment we find in the world or the
people that think they are better than you or the ones you may look down on.
My point is this, we are either
followers of Jesus or we are not. We are
either saved or lost. The truth is
clear. Looking at this from the
perspective of “God loves people” makes all the difference. If a person is different from us, God loves
them. God loves you and me just as much.
Got it? This is a big deal. This is a Gospel deal. Truth.
Take a few minutes to look
through and think through these verses.
Go deeper than just the procedure.
What does God have to say about that person or that situation that gets
under your skin? What about that person
that you are struggling with or who hurt you?
Galatians 6:14-16
NLT
As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of
our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world
has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died. 15 It doesn’t matter whether
we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been
transformed into a new creation. 16 May God’s peace and mercy
be upon all who live by this principle; they are the new people of God.
This weekend I came across a
phrase or a quote that keeps hitting me in the heart. It seems to go pretty well with these verses:
You will never forgive anyone more than God has already forgiven
you. – Max Lucado
I needed that. I
am guessing you needed it too.
Literally, may God’s peace and mercy be on each of us.
