It has been a great one as I spent time at a conference and then got to spend some time with our oldest daughter. The rest of the week will be spent with our marching band at national competition in Indianapolis (pray for the band).
This week through sermons and reaching God grabbed my attention in 2 Corinthians 5. Several of the verses stick out. Some great Biblical truth is found here about you and me as well as some things that only God can do. We must hold on to truth.
So in this devotion I am simply going to give you a few of these verses and a couple thoughts at the end. Read the verses a couple times. See what God has to say to you!
2 Corinthians 5 NLT
17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
20 So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”
21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
We are new, changed, and children of God. That is a fact. That is a real fact that should show in what we do and say. It should show every day.
We are His ambassadors given to task to invite others to come to know Him or to come back to Him. What an honor it is to be an ambassador of the King of kings!
