There is power in making a change. It could be as simple as a slight adjustment or as radical as moving half way around the world. Change can be a very healthy and good thing.
First, I ask that we think about change differently. It is not the rattle in our pocket or the jar on the dresser filled with coins that at times add up to a lot.
Second, change is not the movement because of a problem or being uncomfortable that results in healing or the relief of our body or soul.
Change can be positive or negative. But the change that I am calling us to think about happens differently. It literally is from the inside out.
2 Corinthians 5:17 NASB
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
Romans 12:2 NASB
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
For example look at the skillet on the stove. When you turn on the heat, prepare the pan and begin cooking something, it literally changes. It might start on the outside, but it will eventually be through and through.
The kind of change that God brings isn’t just on the surface. He impacts our hearts and our minds. He brings change that sticks.
A step further there is change that come from the inside out. It is much like a patient battling disease that you cannot see, but it is there. The treatments or the sickness inside begins to show itself and share on the outside of the body.
The same or almost opposite is true of faith. When God gets a hold on our hearts, He begins to revolutionize our lives. He changes our eternity and future first. We don’t experience it at first, but it is a promise. They the change comes gradually.
Our thinking changes. Our actions begin to change. Our emotions and motives continue to change. God is at work in those times and in our lives.
I pray that God changes me each and every day. Change is a choice. Put yourself around the agents of change. it will radically impact your life and the lives of people around you!
God is working. He is greater than we are!
