If we loose hearing, it is a big deal. There are many things that help us hear and connect to what is around us. You also have the other senses like touch, smell and sight.
Can you hear and who are you listening to?
If you can’t hear, you can’t listen. If you aren’t listening but can hear, you have chosen not to hear. Why block out things and people that make our lives better?
Think about who you are listening to and what you are listening to. Those things are influencing us, shaping our character, changing our minds, even tearing apart or building us up.
Deuteronomy 6:4 NLT
Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone
Exodus 19:9 NLT
Then the Lord said to Moses, “I will come to you in a thick cloud, Moses, so the people themselves can hear me when I speak with you. Then they will always trust you.” Moses told the Lord what the people had said.
Hebrews 4:7 NLT
So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today. God announced this through David much later in the words already quoted: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”
Listen to God. Make sure you can hear Him. Israel as a people had to listen. Moses had a word to hear and a purpose. God has something for you, and He is speaking.
Revelation 1:3 NLT
God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near.
Hearing God comes in many forms. One of those is in Scripture. Listen to Him and see how things begin to change!
James 1:22 NLT
But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
