For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.
If you have been
around my family in the past few weeks, you have heard us humming a new
song. It is one that our band at church
has been playing as of late. It is
called “We Believe” and is by the Newsboys.
It is a simple song
that declares our faith in Jesus. Here
are some of the words from the song:
We believe in God the Father
We believe in Jesus Christ
We believe in the Holy Spirit
And He's given us new life
We believe in the crucifixion
We believe that He conquered death
We believe in the resurrection
And He's comin' back again, we believe
So, let our faith be more than anthems
Greater than the songs we sing
And in our weakness and temptations
We believe,
we believe!
…and He’s
coming back again!
Find the song. Listen for a bit. You will find yourself singing it as we have.
But you will also
find yourself worshipping the one who is our Savior and friend. That is because worship is a natural outcome
of spending time thinking about and with Jesus.
As we learn and
stand on what we believe, may our lives and the lives of the people around end
up worshipping Jesus more and more. This
really is good stuff!
