This week’s thoughts center on our back2school
outreach, and today is “reason 2 of 5 why we do back2school”. Yesterday or day 1 was about being stronger
when Christian’s serve together. Today
and day 2 are the students. Each and
every student is valuable to us and to our God.
When we give value to another human being, we are
doing what God called us to do. This
doesn’t overlook wrong, but what this does is make sure that every human knows
that they matter. Every one is made by
God, gifted from God and have a destiny here and in the future that holds so
many blessings.
These kids are incredible. From the littlest preschooler to the senior
in high school we see in their eyes, hear in their voices and watch as smiles
arise as needs are met and conversations happen. There are needs, and we can meet them!
But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him,
how does the love of God abide in him?
Turn it around. By giving and by meeting needs and by sharing
resources we demonstrate God’s loves to each and every student. God’s love flows through what we give and
through us. God’s love shines a light on
truth and for eyes to be able to see.
This love isn’t something to hide or to use only every now and
then. We can make sure that love begins
our day, thrives in our thoughts and laces our words and actions.
People have to see
God through us. It is a choice we make.
Therefore encourage
one another and build up one another, just as you also are
doing.
When we know we have
value, we get stronger. Being built up
leads to building others up. This is
something we do well within the confines of back2school. Another reason we do back2school is because
students need to know they are valuable!
