Many things are difficult. You can mention difficult people or difficult situations, and every one will be able to identify with that. We all have been through that or known those people. How do you deal with things that are difficult?
Ecclesiastes 7:24 NLT
Wisdom is always distant and difficult to find.
Literally, it is tough to find real and lasting wisdom. Why is that? Often I believe is because those looking for wisdom are looking in the wrong places. When we are selfish, we cannot see as God sees or understand as God gives wisdom.
Matthew 7:14 NLT
But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.
Take that difficulty a step further. What we look for or the path we choose can also be difficult. What is easy can be found almost anywhere. But as the old saying goes, “what is worth having is worth working for.”
The narrow way might be difficult to find, but it is always right and blessed. Don’t discount what is more difficult.
2 Timothy 2:24 NLT
A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.
Whoops. Here is a tough one to understand, and each of us know people that are difficult. They might be difficult for many or varied reasons. But here is something … just don’t be difficult. Some situations call for us to be staunch, but we don’t have to be mean or difficult.
2 Timothy 3:1 NLT
You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.
I will stop there. Expect difficult times. When we choose God, there will be even more difficult times, but the days ahead might even be more difficult than the days we have come through.
How do we deal with difficult people and difficult things? By looking to God. By trusting God. That is the best way to deal with what is difficult.
