Let’s roll!
Where did you first hear that? It was on September 11th of 2001 that Todd Beamer aboard flight 93 that was over Pennsylvania and headed for the Pentagon. That one statement has helped many things and opportunities find their beginning.
Today I use this phrase, let’s roll, to remind us of the mission ahead of of us this week. Tomorrow morning I leave for Cuba and will be there for 9 days to serve with our FCA team. It is going to be an excellent trip all of opportunities as well as planning for the future of this important work.
I ask that you pray for some specific things the next 9 days.
Jeremiah 42:3 NLT
Pray that the Lord your God will show us what to do and where to go.
Pray for travel safety and smooth transitions each step of the way.
Pray for Alex, the FCA sports leader, and his wife as she is pregnant and preparing for what is needed for their growing family.
Pray for the expansion of this ministry, ministry teams and mission trips coming in the future and new areas to work with sports teams.
Pray for the FCA leaders across Cuba. During this trip I will be spending a significant amount of time some of these leaders and hope to encourage each of them a great deal.
Praise the Lord for the provision of money needed for the trip and the continuing of this great work.
Pray for the ministry team here in the USA that helps lead this work, raise funds and support our Cuban partners.
Finally, pray for a move of God among coaches, athletes and others who are influenced by their ministry.
Colossians 4:3 NLT
Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains.
NOTE: please continue to pray for my trip to Cuba beginning tomorrow and the FCA team and ministry there.
