Today is election day and our opportunity to vote day, at least in Virginia (but this applies whenever we can vote). As American citizens we have the right and a great privilege to live take part in elections.
Yes, things may be hard and trouble around, but we have many blessings that others around the world do not have. If you haven't voted yet, step up and exercise your right to do so. I am praying for our community and our nation as well as leaders. Join me in these prayers.
Why should we vote? Good citizens take their responsibility seriously. We should honor God and the standards He calls us to hold. Make a difference by voting.
Where should we focus? Focus on the blessings we have. What we choose to focus on changes how we respond and how we live. If we choose to be negative, you will lead others to be negative. Be positive and others begin to see blessings and even to dream big.
Why should we care? Many think that their vote will not make a difference. Stop looking at the struggle and what holds us back. Start looking at the why and how we can move a difference. Begin to live with purpose and live responsibly.
I choose to hold on to what God has says. If we allow, God is changing us. We must pray that God works in our community and our nation. He is working in me and in you.
Here is the choice today … Do what is right. Pray for yourself, for your family, for those you influence and for our nation as well as the world.
