sharing some of my favorites

I’d like to close out this week’s e-devotions with sharing some of my favorite things.  Over the last several weeks I have been able to enjoy some of my favorite things.  God wants us to enjoy life.  That is part of the abundance part we heard about in John 10:10.

I enjoy ministry and the traveling I get to do.  Last month I was able to be in Cuba serving with the sports ministry team there.  It was the toughest trip I have had there, but it was good.  Last month I also was blessed to return to Israel.  It was a ministry trip, and now we are getting ready to lead a tour to the Holy Land in June 2027.  Would you want to go with Julie and me?  Let me know.

James 4:6  NASB

But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

His grave is amazing and unending and so incredible.  Cuba and Israel expressed His grace in my understanding and walking with God.

Last weekend I was part of the Raceway Ministries team serving at the Martinsville Speedway.  Another of my favorite things. I enjoy interacting with race fans and great conversations about Jesus.

Today Julie and I are headed to be with our oldest grand daughter as today is her 5th birthday.  Grand children make life sweeter, and I have to say this … grand children are some of my favorite things!

Proverbs 17:6 NLT

Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged; parents are the pride of their children.

Now we head into the thick of November, and at the end of the month we will observe Thanksgiving.  I believe that being thankful is one of the best things in all the world.  Being thankful will reset our lives.  That is why I will declare that thanksgiving is one of my favorite things.

Psalm 105:1  NLT

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.

Have a great weekend and spend time with God and at church.  I pray you will celebrate some of your favorite things.

Literally, these are some of my favorite things… and yes, God is good!
