Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive.
There is nothing better than serving someone or doing something for a person when they cannot repay you in any way. Who will you serve today? It could be as simply as giving up your place in line at the store or taking them a meal because they have had surgery or many other possibilities.
This is something I think about a lot. Our church and the organizations we are part of make this our priority.
In fact this weekend is the 5th time that a large group of people as joined together in our community to meet needs of health. There is a FREE medical and dental clinic on Saturday from 7am until 4pm right here in uptown Martinsville. Just show up.

Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.
You won’t be able to serve at all the events around, but do something. If you can join me this weekend, come on! If you want to do something quiet that no one else will know about, do it.
When we serve, we are doing what Jesus did. Literally, when we serve, we win the right to tell people what really matters in our lives.
So tell people about Jesus. Give others real and lasting hope.
Galatians 5:13 NLT
For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
Use your time, your resources and your energy to help others come in contact with the love of God!
