  Today is the day that our nation celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  There are so many things we can share about this difference maker.  For years I have shared quotes and some things that Dr King did to make our nation stronger and to give confidence to some people who had very little. What I remind you of today are just a few thoughts that I have about Dr. King, the difference his life made and how we ought to learn from his example. Keep dreaming and share your dreams.   Dr. king wasn’t alone, but he led the way for many who marched, many who stood up and so many who spoke up for what is right. Look out for those who often are over looked. People matter to God, and as a Christian, Dr. King gave value to people who wee be considered second class citizens with little value.   Call out what is wrong that you encounter in your sphere of influence. Dr. King shared and led and became a leader for people he spoke up for and for those who opposed what he stood ...

  We all need to remember.  But those memories cannot be the handcuffs that lock us up.  Let them be the keys that free us to life and abundant life. Take for example, from yesterday’s sermon, what Joshua was led by God to do for the people.  Joshua took the place of Moses who was known by all, had shown the people how to follow God and how to see as well as enjoy the present of God.  Directly Joshua heard “be strong and courageous”.  The only way to be that would be to in the word of God and know that God is with you. Joshua 1:9  NLT This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged.   "The time is always right to do what is right.”  MLK Today we celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr.  He walked, spoke and lived to help others.  We are all flawed and have our issues, but we all have the inner calling and strength to do good. Many of the quotes I have seen from Dr. King are incredible.  Like the one above, it is all the right right to do what is right.  It is my calling to help those in need and to speak up for people who cannot speak for themselves.  How are you doing that? Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. -- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King did that well.  On this day, the 3rd Monday of January, our nation honors Mark Luther King, Jr. for his impact on countless lives and on our county.  His impact continues today.
