We continue the countdown till Christmas with some thoughts about the wise men.   History tells us little about their visit.   Scripture mentions it, and several things about their visit stand out.   What we don’t know for sure is how many of these visitors that there were.   They did have 3 gifts.   They did encounter problems with a political leader.   They did find Jesus, the Messiah, and worship Him.   Their visit lives on to teach us more about our Savior and about that first Christmas. The wise men saw a light that led them to search for Jesus.   We have been given or shown many lights that lead us to Jesus, and it is possible for us to reflect that same light so that others come to know our great and gracious God.
