happy father's day, dad!

Proverbs 15:20   NASB A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish man despises his mother. This Sunday we celebrate Father’s Day, and I want to draw attention to one incredible human being.   That would be my dad, Richard Harrison.   There are many things I can say about him, but what always draws me back to reality is the fact that he is always. God says he will always be there for us.   He says that He will guide and protect us.   As our Spiritual Father He is more than many of us can imagine.   Now, I am not going to say that my dad is perfect, but what I will say is that the gift God gave me in a Father has been and continues to be an excellent example of what a father and a dad is supposed to be. First he was my dad.   I have many memories of my childhood and from just a few weeks ago where this man made me feel important, and the connection between stays strong.   He works at that, and what a blessing this journey contin...

Isaiah 9:6   NLT For a child is born to us, a son is given to us.   The government will rest on his shoulders.   And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor , Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Some of my favorite people in this world are counselors.   They are gifted, wise and insightful people who help families and individuals find the tools to live successful lives.   Most of these people are Christian counselors that tie what they share and people need to Biblical truth.   Others are secular counselors who teach helpful skills for life. God’s desire for each of us is success, abundance, and large amounts of His grace, and what can and will begin us on a wonderful path is God’s word applied to our lives.   Jesus is the word of God embodied.   See John 1 for this fact.   Our best counseling begins with the Word in us.   That is Jesus in us, and that is when we take the Bible and apply it to our lives. ...
