it's Easter

  Here we are.  Easter.  Friday is the day of the culmination of the efforts of people who wanted to remove Jesus from their lives.  But not just that.  This is the highest spot of the purpose Jesus was given to come to earth. He is the Christ.  He is the sacrifice.  Without the cross there would not be a resurrection.  Without the death, and life before death, there would not be life after death.  You get that. 1 Corinthians 1:18  NASB For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. The cross is the place where we fall apart.  It is where everyone falls apart because it was harsh and cruel.  The beatings leading up to the cross would leave the one sent to death almost at the point of death but not quite.   Galatians 4:4-7  NLT But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. 5 God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. 6 And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” 7 Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir. One of the greatest words in our language that is attached to relationships is the word “sent”.  In this passage it appears two times, and both instances are to our credit.  That is to the credit of those who belong to God. If we sent something to another person, it might be a letter or a text message or the like.  Literally, words and conversation were conveyed to help someone know your thoughts or heart.
