the choices we make

  The end of this week I will be back in Cuba serving with the sports ministry there, and what an honor it is to work with this incredible group of people who are seeing God to so many things.  Lives are being changed by God. Take some time to think about our choices.  Get on your mind what God has on His and follow what He says.   When our choices show we are following God, the outcome is different.  Life is not perfect.  There will always be difficult things, but serving and following God will always bring us to places where we find peace and blessing.   Perspective is important.  Choose to act and speak based on what God says.  Think of the outcome you desire.  It might just be the difference between a tough time and a blessed time, chaos or peace.  Follow what God says.   Luke 14:28  NLT   “But don’t begin until you count the cost. making decisions

Have you thought much about the fact that not making a decision keeps you from what God wants to do in your life?   That fact reminds me what the football coach told us in high school.   He said, “when in doubt, fire out.”   In other words, do something.   Make a decision.   Be part of the play. Too many of us, and yes I included myself, spend time waiting or procrastinating before making a decision.   Good leaders make good, informed and certain decisions in a timely manner.   One of my biggest prayers for 2014 is that I would make better and stronger decisions.
