choose your direction

Joy and determination.  Strength and leaning.   Thanks for listening to my ramblings.  I do not mean that what I share is not important.  What I do mean is that we need direction that changes our lives.   Think about the impact of your choices.  Think about the things or the people that make you a better and stronger person.    When you aim at nothing, you hit it every time.  When you have no direction, you aren’t sure where you are going to why.  Now walk the other direction.  When you set a goal, you know what you want to accomplish.  That goal lets you know where you are heading.   Nehemiah 8:10  NLT And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!”   Make a conscious choice of what direction you wi...

choices today

There is more to life that just getting through.  In fact when we have a desire to really live, to enjoy life, we will look at things in a very different way.  Take a few minutes and think about how you find meaning in life. 2 Timothy 1:7  NLT   For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. Fear robs us of life and of joy.  Let your fear be swallowed up by the love that God promises and has given to you. John 10:10  NLT   The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. Our enemy is a taker.  Our God is a giver.  Choose who you are going to follow, who you are going to listen to and who you will let guide your life. Romans 6:14  NLT   Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. Back to fear.  Fear and being tied down from si...

decide for yourself

One of the most important and most powerful things we do is to choose our attitude.  In fact our choices or decisions actually determine our destiny.  Who we choose to follow will take us further than we truly understand. That is why it is vitally important to make wise choices as well as to use our time wisely.  I have many times encouraged married couples to make decisions of how they will respond before situations arrive.  The same ought to be true about our faith and how we deal with what happens in our lives. Joshua 24:24  NLT The people said to Joshua, “We will serve the Lord our God. We will obey him alone.” That is why I want to take some time to share with you what I received from the incredible Tom Ziglar, son of the business and success coach Zig Ziglar.  The email I share a portion of today was titled “never give up”, and that is just what I challenge you and me to do… never give up. Here is what Tom Ziglar shared: When the storms of disruption,...
