  There are so many favorites.  Some may think of people that they are close to.  You might think of your favorite vacation spots or even your favorite food.  I have some of all of those. But in this e-devotion I am going to visit just a few of my favorites.  But I won’t be talking about people.  I have a lot of favorites.  Some at some, some friends and even people I have only met or maybe heard of.  There are a lot. So I have shared some of my favorite Bible verses before.  Each has a different meaning for me or came at a time that was very special for a specific reason.  Here are a couple of those. We are in the middle of an awesome series at The Community Fellowship.  It is called CLASSICS and uses hymns to remind us of the faith and theology that God has given us.  These truths literally help us have firm faith during tough times. These have been tough times.  A pandemic is something we have never experienced before and would like to be over.  The last week has been strange with a shortage of gas and people running to fill up their cars.  It resulted in many of our local stations being out of gas for hours or even a day. We have looked at the hymns “How Great Thou Art” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”.  This Sunday we move on to “Amazing Grace” which is likely the most popular hymn, at least of my dad. The last 5 or 6 weeks have been spent thinking a much and preparing for sermons under the title of LOVE WINS.   There is so much more that I want to share from my conversations, from prayers and from my heart that is overflowing with the magnitude of how big and great God’s love is. Humanly speaking we cannot wrap our brains around how much God loves.   Furthermore, we cannot explain sufficiently to anyone how His love works and how we are changed by it.   What we can explain is how we have experienced God and His love.   No one can refute our testimony and our experience.   That is what we need to share with others. Labels are everywhere.   It is kind of like brands.   Some are fluffy while others are crisp.   Some are brand names while others are generic.   I am speaking of items we might find in a store, but many people feel the same about church and Christians. We denominations or gifts to label people that say one thing or act a certain way, yet what God tells us is that the best part of this life is being changed by His grace.   He is still changing me.   He is working to bring glory to Himself through the purpose He has placed in me and in His church.
