Jesus on faithfulness

We continue our series Pre-Decide at The Community Fellowship, and yesterday we talked about being faithful as we pursue our God and choose to be in relationship with the God who loves us so much.  There are so many great outcomes if we simple continue to follow. Jesus taught his disciples how to understand and live by faith.  It isn’t easy, but it is right.  The outcome is worth the struggle.  In fact, as God says, our responsibility is to be obedient to God.  His responsibility are all the outcomes.  Just do what is right, and leave the results to God. Listen in to what God says and guides us to understand… Faithfulness our choice that has excellent outcomes because it is in God’s hands, not ours.  How is is this applied?  What Jesus said & didn’t say?  As the disciples worried, Jesus spoke to them Like 12:22  NASB And He said to His disciples, “for this reason I say, Do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat, not for y...

place of solace

Sunday during the message at The Community I closed out with this very familiar passage: Lamentations 3:22-26  NLT The faithful love of the   Lord   never ends!  His mercies never cease.   23 Great is his faithfulness;   his mercies begin afresh each morning.   24 I say to myself, “The   Lord   is my inheritance;   therefore, I will hope in him!”   25 The   Lord   is good to those who depend on him,   to those who search for him.   26 So it is good to wait quietly   for salvation from the   Lord . Where is the place that you find peace and refreshing?  Maybe it is beside the water at the ocean as the breeze and the waves seduce you.  Maybe it is in the mountains overlooking a pristine view that seems to go on for miles.  Maybe it is in a valley next to a stream with the water rushing over rocks that calms your heart rate and seems...

did you see that?

Psalm 19:1   NLT The heavens proclaim the glory of God.   The skies display his craftsmanship. Step outside.   Did you see it?   Painted across the sky is some of the most beautiful art that I have ever seen before.   That was night. I looked up and saw the moon draped by the most glorious black expanse dotted with little white twinkling lights.   The moon is perfectly round, and you can make out the valleys and mountains.   And it is so beautiful.   The air is crisp and clean.   It is a little chilly which capped off a sunny day of about 70 degrees.   I’m reminded at our wonderful our creator, at how awesome our God is. Another morning I looked across the scene before me.   It could have been the ocean from the white sand beach.   It might have been a mountainside of fresh summer growth surrounded by the hills, the streams, the trees and so much more.   Maybe it was fall with the colorful leaves almost...

God showed up, let's do the same // Thursday E-Devotion

Psalms 57:10-11 (nlt) --- For your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth. I cannot get over the fact that when we need Him, God shows us with big arms to throw around us a God-hug that will change the direction of our day. His love is real. His faithfulness is to be shouted about. Tell somebody what God has done. In our church's membership class last night, one of our leaders shared how God showed up in her husand's life to lift and encoruage him. What an awesome testimony to hear? Watching God work is awesome. Let's praise Him and watch Him work. This morning I was reading some of the daily insight from the kingdom of Blogs and ran across a note from Perry Noble . Someone had blasted him and his church. Perry's response and the response of others of his church leadership hit me, and I want to respond to what I read... Great Job!...
