The first Thursday of May has been set as the “National Day of Prayer” in the United States for several years, and that is why I share with you today to join me and thousands of others in spending extra time in prayer for our nation. In praying for our nation I will typically begin nationally (praying for our government and military), then our state (governor and leaders), our community (government and non government servants as well as families), our churches and then our own home.
