the reality of with us

We begin the Christmas season, or the Advent season, where we celebrate the new life of Christ as well as the new life we have from Christ.  There is more to this season than the glimmer of lights or the buying of gifts.  It has much to do with our faith, and that faith brings us deep and lasting joy. that first Palm Sunday

John 12:13   NASB took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and   began   to shout, “Hosanna!   Blessed   is He who   comes   in the   name   of the Lord , even the King of Israel.” The irony from the first day of the week to the end of week is difficult to comprehend.   What makes it even more difficult is the pain that our Savior, Jesus the son of God, had to endure with making His way to the cross. What we know as “Palm Sunday” was a day of people hearing about this Jesus and celebrating his arrival in town.   In fact there are Bible promises and prophecy that find their conclusion in Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem that day.   It was a path of honor and of pomp and circumstance since everyone seemed so excited about Jesus being in town.
