Welcome home!  Yes.  I returned home from the latest Cuba mission trip late Monday, and I am excited to share with you just a little form the trip.  This might seem like a little bit of overflow, and it is.  I might forget some things.  BUT… God showed up.  That is so, so good.  The people of Cuba are open to hearing and following Jesus.  That is evident not just because of the great needs they have, but it is evident because they have hope in days of crisis.  I am grateful for the churches, ministries and more that are making a difference for Jesus!   Proverbs 15:30  NLT   Fear of the Lord teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor. Thank you to everyone who supported and prayed for the past mission trip to Cuba.  Since this is the first e-devotion after I have returned home, I will share with you some of the points of celebration, some of my take aways and what God did. It was such a blessing to have Julie return to Cuba with me.  We served at Ebenezer church in the area of Havana known as Guanabacoa.  It was a great time of ministry and encouraging Pastor Julio and his wife Arelis. I am grateful for the FCA sports ministry team in Cuba.  Roberto Texidor from Missouri leads the US board, and I enjoy traveling with him.  Alex is the Cuban leader for sports ministry.  He and his family are a great blessing.  His team are amazing people.  One of the things that I love is that this team really are pastors in their community who serve athletes and their families.  Sharing Jesus a...

  I trust you are getting ready for Christmas, and I want to pass on to you some excellent thoughts from the Navigators.   Let’s make sure we keep Christ in Christmas and keep the main thing as the main thing.  For all of that, it is Jesus.  This is a personal choice that each of us have to make.  Make much of the one who has given so much for us.
