  Mark 8:23-25  NASB   Taking the man who was blind by the hand, He brought him out of the village; and after spitting in his eyes and laying His hands on him, He asked him, “Do you see anything?” 24 And he looked up and said, “I see people, for I see them like trees, walking around.” 25 Then again He laid His hands on his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and began to see everything clearly.   We know and believe that God is the healer.  Do you believe that?  I am grateful that fact removes our doubts and even our own troubles.   But do we walk away from God in the middle of His healing or working in our lives?  I confess that might be the case several times in my life, and it may be the same for you.   The man in these verses had a problem with his eye sight, but Jesus began to heal his eyes.  In the process everything was blurry.  He wasn’t completely healed.   When we walk away from God, when we stop ...

  There are so many things that happen that we do not expect.  Some of them aren’t good.  Some of them are very good. That is why I take a little time to draw our attention to the things we see or experience or find that are just amazing.  It is kind of like the rainbow that springs across the sky as it sprays beauty for all to see.  It is the cry of a little one and as they calm and smile making your heart melt.  It is seeing the precious guy or girl spending time at the altar because of what is going on in their lives, and their time at the altar brings an extra sense of peace over our hearts.   Jeremiah 17:20  NASB and say to them, ‘Listen to the word of the Lord, you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all inhabitants of Jerusalem who come in through these gates. I have spent much time recently listening.  This is often as I am walking or exercising.  Things or words or songs catch my attention.  Many times God is speaking, and I am seeking to listen. This time was in a song.  The song is titled Rattle and is by Elevation Worship.  It is a powerful song with an incredible message. Early in the song there is a question asked.  When I heard the song and the question, I stopped and listened.  Then I stopped a few times to listen and think. “Since when has impossible ever stopped You?” It made me stop.  It was a wow moment for sure. What is impossible with God?  Nothing.  That is a simple answer, and it is true.  We may think that God has limits or doesn’t work in one way or another.  Our perception of God ca...

Many people want something spiritual in their life, but they are not willing to make the sacrifices necessary for real life. Are we seeking to feel better or to be different? In the story about Jesus that I am sharing with you today people are seeking Jesus and wanting Him to perform miracles.  They have seen one or several and want more.  But what Jesus was giving them and desiring for them was better than any event or miracle they could see. Read on and note where God speaks to you. John 6:26-35  NLT Jesus replied,   “I tell you the truth, you want to be with me because I fed you, not because you understood the miraculous signs.   27  But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Yesterday I shared the story of a man named Naaman, and it was the last message in our back in the day series at The Community Fellowship.   During this series we have been looking at various stories in the Bible.   Please read the story for yourself (the verses below) and take a few minutes to think through a couple of observations at the end.   My prayer is that we will see and seize the miracles that God has for each of us: 2 Kings 5:1-19 MSG 1-3  Naaman was general of the army under the king of Aram.
