There is power in connecting to God.  The more we connect, the more power we experience.  The ultimate person is the creator of all and the one who sustains it all is God. Think about it.  What is too big and too much for our God? The answer is nothing and no one.  When we believe this about God, we will want to connect with Him even more.  Connecting to God is often through prayer, and you can connect in other ways, whatever you call them. I leave us with one simple prayer from a letter that the Apostle Paul shared in Ephesians 3.  The things that are in this prayer remind us of God’s character as well as His abilities. Spend some time reading this prayer.  If you feel led, use it as a prayer today. Revival services have been happening the last two weeks on college campuses the last two weeks.  The awe and news of revival is not new, but it is new for the people who are experiencing it. Isaiah 43:19  NLT   For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. That is our theme verse for 2023 at our church.  Literally when God does something new it is incredible.  People begin to experience God in fresh ways and He does miracles that all include life change. Oh, the stories coming out of college campuses have been incredible.  The personal experiences have been awesome to hear about, but the thing that gets me the most is the joy people are finding in the presence of God.  Longing to be in the presence of God is not new, but that place, being with God, changes the person that spends time there. Following is a devotion I shared in April a couple years ago.  I pray that God gives us the ability to see.  Read on and have a great day… Luke 4:18 NLT “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed,   Jesus read those words in the temple during His ministry.  Right after reading this from the scroll and from the book of Isaiah, Jesus said that this Scripture was fulfilled in their hearing.   There was so much more to that than words.  It was a new day.  Many who had been slaves would be set free.   Psalm 146:8  NLT The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly.   Spiritual sight is needed by all people....

I ran across this yesterday, it really hit home.  We say we believe that God is able to do anything and everything.  But do we believe it.  Take a few minutes to digest the reality of the following: God is bigger than… your past. your pain. your anger. your fears. your insecurities. your scars. your anxiety. your sin. and Corona. Luke 18:27  NLT He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.” Romans 4:21 NLT He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises. Now, go apply that truth!
