See people as God sees them. Every one matters and every member of His family
is important. If we get right down to
it, we confess will that people matter to us as we know each person matters to
God. Our sweetest memories in life, our
greatest accomplishments and our biggest expectations revolve around people. The more we stick together, work together,
the more greatness we will see.
God
said so. We have to learn learn this is
so. God has restored us, and we’ve begun
to walk with Him. We see that joining
with others is just part of the make up of our lives.
1 Peter 3:10-12
NASB
For, “The
one who desires life, to love and see good days, Must keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit. 11 “He
must turn away from evil and do good; He must seek peace and pursue it. 12 “For the eyes of the Lord are
toward the righteous, And His ears attend to their prayer, But the face of the
Lord is against those who do evil.”
The things that mean
the most to God aren’t things at all.
They are people. Those He created
and those He seeks to redeem.
These 3 verses seem
clear in their direction of our lives, our actions and for a great life. I draw your attention and mind to a couple
choices that will make a difference in our relationships, in our thinking and
in the impact we will have on others.
Keep your tongue from evil.
This is one is
tough. Often we find ourselves, or at
least I do, speaking before I think.
That shouldn’t be the case. Guard
your lips and the words that cross your lips as well as your thinking.
Turn from evil.
What you know is
wrong, step away from. Draw the lines
and live by them. Use the Scripture as a
guide to what is right and wrong.
Seek and pursue peace.
We are not to see
peace at any cost. But this is the peace
of God. Don’t things God’s way means
that we make sure that truth wins and that we do things in love. Ephesians reminds us to speak the truth in love.
Recognize our God.
We are His
people. He is our God. Our prayers are being heard, and God always
cares about His children. We ought to
care about what God cares about.
Four things to start
the week. Now, that is a great
challenge.
