Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away. Well, November is key for lots of different things. We just finished the World Series. Football is full force with high school play off just around the corner. Thanksgiving will top it all off.
Then there is family. It is the holiday season when some will have a great time while others grieve the loss of loved ones or the fact that life has the alone at this time. But there is other family. Church family is here and we need each other.

Something I am highly grateful for is changed lives. Yesterday at the end of our worship service we celebrated baptism. Each person baptized has made a decision to step toward God and with God. Each has had life change happen because of Christ. We celebrate Jesus!

All of us have been rescued in many ways, but the most important is the rescue that God sent us in His son. We have changed direction, we have changed families, we have changed our destiny, we have changed the difference we are making… and all of that because of Jesus.
He is the ultimate rescuer. May God reach us what is the cost, what is the meaning and what is the life worth of the people who He paid such a high price for.
