Trusting God is not something we do every now and then. It is a daily matter. Yet there are people that lean on things not meant to be trusted. We trust ourselves or human wisdom or a friend who makes promises or money.
You get the point. As I had this thought I ran across some Scripture. Honestly I ran across it in my memory. I believe God put these verses on my heart. Think about who we trust and the fact that we can trust God. He is able.
Luke 12:28 NASB
But if God so clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you? You men of little faith!
God will provide for us like nothing else or no one else can.
Matthew 12:12 NASB
How much more valuable then is a man than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
That is the passage about the man who leaves his 99 sheep to go find the one whom is lost. Then, this verse reminds us that we are valuable to God. It is a fact.
Hebrews 9:14 NLT
Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins.
We try to make things in our lives right when all goes wrong. But God does a much better job correcting things and even correcting us. That is His plan and the reason why He sent Jesus.
2 Corinthians 3:9 NIV
If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness!
What consumes our thinking or the thinking of the people around us? If we allow God’s thoughts and ways to have more clout than anything else, we will be strong and will believe what God days.
All of these verse hold that special phrase. “How much more” … it describes the fact that we can trust God. How much more than anything or anyone else!
