Community Family and Friends,
We find ourselves in a very serious time due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The key leadership team of The Community Fellowship has met and prayed over our decision. We WILL NOT be having worship service Sunday morning nor the addiction ministry on Saturday night.
Please know that was a very hard decision for us to make as we do not cancel church at The Community Fellowship, but this is very a different situation all together. This decision is only for this Sunday. We will take a look at the following Sundays next week.
It is important that we are careful with all that we do. The people who deal with this virus each day are encouraging every one to practice extreme caution. That is why we have made this decision. It is our church's desire to see that our family is safe.
What are we doing? We will have FACEBOOK LIVE beginning at 10:10am on Sunday morning. Please join us online and encourage others to do the same. Go to the church Facebook page to watch, www.facebook.com/tcf1010
You can also give online, and we encourage you to do that. Because we are not meeting in person this is the best way to give, and I encourage you to be faithful in your giving. The link to give is https://tcf.ccbchurch.com/goto/giving or go to the church website www.thecommunityfellowship.org and click give online. You can also drop your giving off at church during the week or mail it to PO Box 388, Collinsville, VA 24078.
Thank you for understanding. Remember that we are called to demonstrate the love of God to our community. We must be serving our community during these uncertain times. Also by choosing not to have church we believe we are making the best choice possible to keep our church and community safe and healthy. Some churches have already canceled or modified their services. Some churches are still meeting. We have chosen to have church online and not in person.
I challenge each of us to stay safe and to continue to worship God wherever we are. It is my desire and the desire of our leadership to be a church and place where people find hope. This week we have fed over 30 families and assisted others in various ways. The enemy is working and is a liar. God is working even more and is giving us truth to stand on. Choose faith over fear, trusting God instead of giving in to the chaos, and worshipping God over worrying about it all.
If our church leaders or myself can serve you in some specific way or pray for you, please let us know by calling and leaving a message at church 276-647-8231 or sending me an email pastormh@gmail.com
I love you, and I am praying for each of you today! Please join us online through Facebook Live this Sunday morning as the community will worship together at 10:10. God is good… all the time!
With GOD as my guide,
Pastor Michael Harrison
