There are many truths that stick out to me. I want to give you some things to think about. Some of these will stay with you and apply to what we are going through. Some might be for the future.
Take some time to read through these and hold on the ones that stick out. Enjoy. I have.
“God is not just one thing we add to the mix called life. He wants an invitation from us to permeate everything and every part of us.” ― Francis Chan
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. – David, Psalm 23:1
“Believers cannot be truly happy or at peace as long as they remain largely focused upon themselves and their own needs, wants, and hurts. Only in becoming outwardly focused on ministering to the needs of others can they experience real satisfaction and sense of purpose. Thus we pastors do them a great disservice if we allow people to continue to see themselves primarily as recipients of ministry rather than deliverers of ministry.” ― Robert Morris
“The Bible is like a caged lion. You don’t have to defend it. Simply open the door, and it will defend itself.” – John MacArthur
"We must discover the power of love, the redemptive power of love. And when we do that, we will make of this old world a new world, for love is the only way." – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
You will never forgive anyone more than God has already forgiven you. – Max Lucado
Nobody escapes being wounded. We are all wounded people, whether physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. The main question is not, 'How can we hide our wounds?' so we don't have to be embarrassed, but 'How can we put our woundedness in the service of others?' When our wounds cease to be a source of shame, and become a source of healing, we have become wounded healers. – Henri Nouwen
The power of God will take you out of your own plans and put you into the plan of God. – Smith Wigglesworth
“You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.” ― John Bunyan
“If you're not making someone else's life better, then you're wasting your time. Your life will become better by making other lives better.” ― Will Smith
"Prayer is simply talking to God like a friend and should be the easiest thing we do each day." – Joyce Meyer
“Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, leave the rest to God.” – Ronald Reagan
When you give, you make a difference. When you don’t give, it makes a difference. – Johnny Hunt
Let your hopes, not your hurts, shape your future. – Robert H. Schuller
I pray one or more of those stick out to you. Have a great week!
