It is time. Tonight at 6 we pack backpacks. back2school 2022 is happening. Last Saturday a couple locations. This Saturday a bunch of locations. The Saturday after there will be another. Pray, please. Pray that the right people show up to serve and to be served. Pray for the right shoes, enough supplies, the money to pay for it and so much more.
It is go time for back2school!
When we give value to another human being, we are doing what God called us to do. This doesn’t sweep under the rug all the wrong that has been done, but this type of serving makes sure that every person knows that they have value. Every one is made by God, gifted from God and has a God given destiny. Every one has a future that holds many blessings.
Then back2school kicks in. These kids are incredible. From the littlest to the biggest student… we want to see in their eyes, hear in their voices and watch as they smile as we meet and conversations happen. Giving them what God has put in our hands and hearts!
1 John 3:17 NASB
But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?
Point them in the right direction. Remember the old saying “people don’t care how much you know till they see how much you care… by meeting needs and sharing resources we demonstrate God’s loves to every student. God’s love flows through us.
God’s love shines a light on truth and for eyes to be able to see. This love isn’t something to hide or to use every now and then. Make sure that love begins your day, thrives in your thoughts and is wrapped in your words and actions.
People have to see God through us. It is a choice we make.
Matthew 5:16 NLT
In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
When we know our value, we are stronger. We can also let others know their value, given by God. That is something we do within the outreach of back2school.
It is time. One reason we do back2school is because students need to know their value!
