failure that leads to success

The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.


I am sure you have had some of these same thoughts.  But how do you deal with failure when all you are looking for is victory?


A successful person has most likely gone through lots of failures, struggles and trials.  The more teaching or reaching or searching I do about finding real and lasting success the more I hear about failure.  Why is that?


It is because failure breeds success.  Failure leads us to learn the lessons that lead us to success.  Think about the things that have helped you become who you are, what has given you strength and what has left you better in so many ways.  It is most likely tied to lessons from failures.


Let’s dig in a little more…


“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” ― Winston Churchill


That is good.  Look at your failures differently.  Stumble away from failure and watch on the horizon the success that is to come.  Keep moving forward.


“With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.” ― Eleanor Roosevelt


This day will bring opportunities.  That is where failure gets some light or we get learning from the things we have come through.  Step a little further to understand that trying nothing, never failing, will lead to never having success.

“In every battle, there comes a time when both sides consider themselves beaten. Then he who continues the attack wins.” ― Ulysses S. Grant


Both think they won.  President or General Grant said.  Think about it.


We all win when we learn from our failures that lead to success.

Have you heard of EDITH BURNS?

Edith Burns was a wonderful Christian who lived in San Antonio, Texas . She was the patient of a doctor by the name of Will Phillips. Dr. Phillips was a gentle doctor who saw patients as people. wash feet, sharing hope

  John 13:4-5,14 NLT  So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, 5 and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel he had around him… 14 And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. Jesus set the example we follow.  He served.  He valued and gave value to others.  That is why we choose to serve. For 18 years our church has shared an outreach called back2school, and for 16 of those years we have chosen to give students brand new shoes and socks as well as washing their feet.  It is one of the most important parts of this event. Washing feet is a humbling experience where both the give and the receiver learn how to share some moments that might change their lives.  Jesus said we should do this.  See the verse above.  Follow His example, do what He did, and give far more than you will ever know....
