Romans 10:9 NLT If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. There is only one way to be saved and to receive the forgiveness of God. Does that make those who believe that narrow minded? So be it. Many people believe a lot of different things about God and our savior, His son Jesus. You may hear their ideas shared in various places, but what we know most is that our beliefs shape how we look at God, how we live our lives, how we share with others and how we deal with everything around our lives. Various ways to look at the savior really are obvious. Let me share a few that come to mind. Lifeguard. Some see Jesus as a lifeguard of sorts. This is the belief that Jesus comes in to rescue us only when we are in trouble. Crossing guard. Others think that Jesus is the one who directs traffic, or our lives, and keeps the manager away.
