  Do not be afraid, for the Lord our God will be with you! I am praying that whatever may come your way, you would know… and feel the height and depth and width and never ending love of God! May the Lord bless you and keep you.  May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you!  May the Lord place His presence upon you and give you peace! … Those three things are on a card that sits on my desk, right in front of my computer.  I received this card at the Raceway Ministries conference this past January, and it has been a reminder of so much.  I am grateful.   God intends and plans things in our lives.  He actually plans the things of our lives, and it is good for us to trust God.  That is why I need, and you need, reminders like this card so often. Psalm 33:20  NLT We put our   hope   in   the   Lord . He is our help and our shield. I grieve for those who are going through terror and loss.  We can make political statements forever about guns, evil in the world and laws, but the best thing we can do is to intercede and pray as well as offer hope and help. Last night as our back2school planning meeting began word came through news outlets of a shooting on a college campus in North Carolina only a few hours from us. My heart seemed to fall, but we moved forward.  When I got home, I started reading reports and seeing the posts of those who live in area. Again, my heart fell and prayers continued. Isaiah 12:2  NLT See, God has come to save me.  I will trust in him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.” Lots on my mind.  In fact the last several days have been almost a blur.  God has continued to do so many things, but I have also experienced some of life’s most difficult things. Death.  I don’t like it, and it hurts much.  Loosing a friend or a family member is hard to handle.  But what is not so hard is trusting God and not fearing all because we know that God is in control, and God is our strength.  Victory comes in many different forms, like the verse says. Death is also victory.
