This week comes to an end with much to think about, lots of people to pray for and even some questions for God, or at least truths to share.  To open the news and see the pain after a horrific shooting in Thousand Oaks, California is almost too much to hear, and this, your would agree, happens way to often.  Then to see news of fires destroying towns and lives is so difficult. Earlier this week were the elections, and I do hope that most of us did get out and vote.  I am glad all the political ads are over, but we are reminded of the need for great leaders to rise up, for character and integrity to shine.  Pray for those who lead. Last weekend I was able to join many people in our community for a medical and dental outreach that helped 200 people in our area.  I knew many who were served.  One of the things I love the most about serving are the relationships that are build. We share stories.  We pray ...

Colossians 3:12 (NASB) So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; One evening a week ago my phone began to ding and then to ring.   An apartment building in our community was engulfed in flames.   This is a place we know very well.   In fact we have assisted at least four of the residents in the last year. It all hit home for me yesterday.   One of the residents needed help moving some furniture in to her new apartment.   We secured the big, white box truck and got a few extra hands to help.   Some of the items being moved were coming out of this lady’s old apartment that was damaged due to the fire, smoke and the water used to put out the fire.
