  In keeping with our last conversation of praying the Psalms, I share this… Psalms 8:1-2  NLT   O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!  Your glory is higher than the heavens. 2  You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you. Do you ever get just a little choked up when you see God do something? Do you ever just think WOW when you see something God created? Tell Him.  Let God know what you think, how you feel, where your mind is, and that you are in awe of Him.  Those “awe moments” are the ones that print a memory in our minds and even on our hearts.  Cherish those moments almost like a picture taken that you keep going back to for years. God is able.  God is good.  God is creator and keeper of all.  God is love, and we expect Him to respond in love, to give because of His love and to care for those we care about because of His goodness.   I have an appointment soon to see the eye doctor.  It happens each fall.  She will check my eyes to see how I see.  Well, since I no longer have diabetes things are a little easier, but my eyesight isn’t what it used to be. There was that one day.  Another eye doctor in our community was examining my eyes, and at the end of my appointments he said something like this, “your problem is you are having too many birthdays.”  In other words, my eyesight is changing because I am getting older. It happens.  I need glasses and sometimes a little extra help to be able to see or to read.  You understand. But there is something far greater and deeply spiritual that I wanted to bring to your attention.  It is the problem of being bind.  Some people cannot see because of some illness.  Others cannot see because of not looking in the right direction.  Yet another problem is the fact that spiritual sight can be missing or weak because of so...

What gives us confidence? Often in the world we live in confidence seems to be based on what you have or the position you hold or the authority you’ve been given.  But confidence from God is very different. Colossians 1:4-5   NLT For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all of God’s people, which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this   expectation   ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News. Confident hope.   That phrase is deeper than what I think at first reading or first thought.   What do we expect from God?   How do we expect God to act or respond to us? Honestly, when we are truly honest with ourselves, each of us doubt from time to time.   Find strength in the fact that in the moments of our questioning is often when God shows up and speaks deep within us.   Confident hope. Through the journey of “chase the lion” I come with confidence knowing that God has a calling on my life that I intend to fulfill.   I will chase after God, walk with or even run with God to accomplish what He has placed in the path of my life.
